Bangladesh

Bangladesh is the eighth-most populous country in the world and one of the most densely populated, with over 170 million people living within just 148,460 square kilometers. The country is shaped by its extreme environment—seasonal monsoons, relentless humidity, and the constant threat of flooding, cyclones, and rising sea levels. These natural forces test the resilience of its people daily, particularly the workers who endure harsh conditions in shipyards, garment factories, and the streets, where labor is often physically exhausting and wages remain low.

Yet, despite these challenges, Bangladesh is a place of remarkable beauty. The vibrant hues of saris and rickshaws weave through the chaos of its cities, while golden rice fields and lush riverbanks offer moments of serenity. The warmth and generosity of its people left a lasting impression on me—welcoming smiles, shared meals, and an openness that transcends language. Even in the toughest conditions, there is a sense of pride and perseverance, a quiet strength that defines the spirit of Bangladesh.
